Failure analysis is the critical first step in identifying a problem that has occurred
in a system, component, mechanism or structure. Once the mode of failure has been identified, appropriate corrective measures may then be taken to try to prevent similar future failures.
With a full and accurate description of the accident, and the environment in which it took
place, it can usually be determined in a short consultation if a potential claim is meritorious. In the event a successful outcome is questionable, a memorandum outlining the
relative strengths and weaknesses of the case can be prepared at counsel's request.
We will assist you in determining whether a
party has violated an established standard of care in design, manufacturing, marketing, or use of the product involved, and in otherwise preparing and presenting your case.
Most importantly, Albright Engineering will assist counsel in developing a clear
understanding of the complex and highly technical principles which are often difficult for lay persons to understand, and provide, prior to trial, the underlying facts upon which our
conclusions are based. Ultimately we will communicate our expert opinion in a persuasive light while at all times maintaining a professional bearing.
Nowhere is the need for accurate failure analysis more dramatically obvious than after a
catastrophic accident. After a serious accident, trained teams of investigators examine all phases of the accident site and its
operation, seeking clues to the true cause of the accident. Lives literally hang on the accuracy of the failure analysis process.
The Albright Engineering Team offers complete technical assistance in the field of forensic
engineering. Our extensive experience in mechanical and metallurgical system failure analysis in various industries including aerospace affords you the opportunity to utilize cutting edge
technology in the investigation and preparation of your case. These state-of-the-art investigation techniques often save time and money in a complex failure investigation.
